Computer Literacy Course Comparison

CGS2060 Computer Literacy
This course targets students with little or no computer experience (a rare case in this day and age)and teaches basic computer skills, providing a foundation of general computer knowledge and understanding. Among the skills taught are computer file management, Web research, and Microsoft Office.

CGS2064 Computer Literacy II
This course targets students that already have basic computer skills and wish to move from being computer literate to computer fluent. After three weeks of basic skills and concepts review, this course proceeds on to more advanced skills and technological understanding that are valued in every area of today's job market. Among the skills taught are editing and creating digital images and graphics, spreadsheet and database applications, skills required to publish a Web site on garnet.acns.fsu.edu, and an introduction to popular Web development software. 

CGS2100 Micro Applications for Business
This course provides students with an introduction to formal business information systems (Transaction Processing Systems, Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, etc.), and training on traditional business applications (Web research and Microsoft Office). This course is required for acceptance into the College of Business.
